DID YOU KNOW THE PTO...

1. PROVIDES SCHOOL UPGRADES

Our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) purchases all necessary items for the school that the county doesn’t provide in their budgets. For example, the PTO raised enough funds to purchase over $70,000 of NEW playground equipment for the brand new Midway Elementary school. The funds also provided 2 new soccer goals, 2 picnic tables, a new Mustang Mascot costume, tons of school supplies and so much more!

2. ENHANCES SCHOOL PROGRAMS

We work with many community partners and businesses to raise money for the school in order to purchase and offer new programs, extend and upgrade current programs and purchase the latest technology so that our students have all the resources necessary for success.

3. HOSTS SCHOOL EVENTS

Our PTO hosts fun family events like our annual Ice Cream Social, Fall Festival, Movie Night, Family Bingo, Dance with Your Daughter Event, Fun with Your Son Event, Spirit Nights and so much more!

4. SUPPORTS TEACHERS + STAFF

Successful teachers make successful students which is why our PTO showers our teachers and staff with gifts, snacks and lunches throughout the year in addition to providing them with resources and support through our Mustang Moms committee whose goal is to assist them with their needs as well providing teacher grants to assist with providing financial assistance for classroom educational endeavors.

The goal of the PTO is to create a sense of community within the walls of Midway Elementary School by working together to accomplish common goals. We are active throughout the entire school year with the teachers and staff striving to provide fun events, educational programs, and funds that help financially support specific schools needs and build a family friendly environment.
